Workforce and Community Engagement Coordinator
Job Description

Under general supervision of the Manager of Community Engagement, supports the execution of UMMC community engagement programs and initiatives. Responsible for maintaining collaborative community partnerships that positively impact hospital-community relationships. Responsible for coordinating community engagement programs and initiatives.

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.  These are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.

 

Supports and maintains relationships with community partners that foster lasting relationships with the communities we serve. Ensure that the community partnerships are aligned with UMMC community engagement strategy.Cultivates and manages relationships with partnership schools, faith-based institutions, community associations, local businesses and other key stakeholders. Assists in the planning, development and implementation of organizational and community engagement events and initiatives.Conducts internal and external presentations on UMMC’s community events and initiatives. Represents UMMC while serving on community partnership committees, coalitions, and possible boards.Coordinates and manages youth development programs, such as summer jobs programs, internships and tours.Serves as the point of contact for board community and manages community requests for outreach activities and programs.Compiles program outcomes data for community engagement projects, as assigned, ensuring completion by specified deadlines and in accordance with established goals and objectives.Company Description

Located in Baltimore’s cultural center near the historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, UMMC Midtown Campus is a 180-bed, community teaching hospital with a focus on helping people manage chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, pulmonary conditions, and infectious diseases.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Human Services, Human Resources, Health Services Administration, or a related area of study is required.Two years of professional program coordination, career counseling or community relations experience required.Additional Information

Compensation:

Pay Range: $64, 480- $73, 901
