Job Summary
The Workforce Development Coordinator helps analyze, plan, and identify short and long term staffing patterns, working with various components of the organization to develop strategies to meet current and future employment needs for active and passive recruiting. They work proactively to gather, synthesize and present research information associated with client engagements and market opportunities. The strategies include collaboration with secondary and technical schools, industry leaders, and business leaders on a variety of projects and initiatives designed to build a healthcare workforce of the future. This role includes research, program development, project management, recruitment, and sourcing. The critical responsibilities of the Workforce Development Coordinator is program development and to ensure there is a healthy pipeline of qualified candidates. The ideal candidate will have the capability to independently execute program development/management, create sourcing strategies and make recommendations on recruiting practices for an array of positions.
Minimum QualificationsMinimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Years of Experience: 5 Years of progressive experience in human resources, adult, and/or childhood education

Required Certifications/Licensure: None.
Required Training: Current knowledge of workforce development, career development, project management, program development, sourcing, recruiting, and employment law;
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, social media tools and Applicant Tracking Systems are a must.
Essential Functions Directs Lexington Medical Centers School to work programs. Acts as a liaison and markets the programs to the community and schools to create awareness of healthcare careers. Delivers appropriate communication of information regarding student programs to department directors/managers, employees, applicants, vendors, and community. Coordinate the Partners Program Provides input to schools and post-secondary institutions to influence curriculum development to meet healthcare industry requirements. Develops school and post-secondary business partnerships. Provides and monitors educational, employment and training agreements with schools and post-secondary institutions. Coordinates job shadowing, teachers-in-the-workplace, internships, tours, apprenticeships, and cooperative education activities as appropriate. Maintains membership and actively serves on appropriate boards, councils, and consortiums for School-to-Work. Administers the Employee Referral program (ERP). Build and maintain relationships with managers/directors throughout the health district. Create and maintain reports to track the effectiveness of workforce development efforts. Attend job fairs, career days, and conferences as is required by workforce development and employment needs of the organization. Coordinate the development of strategic and comprehensive workforce development plans in accordance with the needs and goals of the organization. Duties & Responsibilities Educate and train managers/directors on workforce development processes. Act as a guide for tours throughout LMC to educate and encourage healthcare careers. Implement creative and targeted search/marketing strategies, partnering with Recruiter to build sustainable active and passive candidate pipelines, including construction of company target lists when requested, researching of candidate profiles and matching necessary competencies to candidate experience, utilizing internal/external resources and proprietary databases. Develop posting strategy, including managing Internet job postings for niche sites and evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns. Utilize Boolean search methodology to support resume and candidate profile mining through various databases, LinkedIn, Applicant Tracking System, Monster, etc. Utilize social media campaigns, tools and innovation to conduct passive searches (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.). Evaluate job descriptions to ensure understanding of position, skills and experience required for different positions and make recommended changes to attract the appropriate talent. Analyze data to drive sourcing plans and decisions. Accurately input, organize and maintain the integrity of candidate management databases. Build alliances and networks as an ambassador of Lexington Medical Center. Improve and represent the employment brand of Lexington Medical Center.
