Description Functions as a professional liaison between Emory Healthcare and regulatory, accrediting, membership-based organizations, and affiliated educational facilities/institutions regarding credentialing and credential verificationBuilds relationships with internal customers and client groups and liaises with Human Resources business partners (HR BP) to deliver consistent and high-quality customer serviceAccountability for compliance in accordance with accreditation standards and credentialing required by law, regulation or hospital policyActively develops and maintains a working knowledge of the requirements (laws, regulations, policy, and guidelines) related to credentialing and credential verificationPosition is characterized by the ability to prioritize and organize multiple assignments and identify solutions to challenges as they occur in a growing environmentPossesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matterParticipates in, coordinates and implements special projects, as assignedReview and verify the credentials of healthcare professionals, ensuring all licenses and certifications are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory standardsMaintain a thorough understanding of healthcare regulations and standards to ensure the organization meets all compliance requirementsAccurately record and update credentialing information in the organizations database, ensuring data integrity and confidentialityPrepare for internal and external audits by ensuring all credentialing documentation is complete and readily accessibleLiaise with healthcare professionals and regulatory bodies to resolve any credentialing issues or discrepanciesGenerate regular reports on credentialing status and compliance metrics for management reviewIdentify opportunities for process improvements in credentialing and compliance monitoringAssists in developing training and documentation related to processes and auditsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree and two years of progressive experience and responsibility in human resources in a hospital settingOR - High School Diploma (or equivalent (GED)) and four (4) years of progressive experience and responsibility in human resources or related experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
