Workforce Planning Specialist

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Skills and Strategic Workforce planning associate to join our team.  This employee will support the Talent Strategy team through data analysis, initiatives oversight, PowerPoint creation, reporting, and collateral/deliverable creation for pilot programming and beyond as part of our Skills journey at McKesson. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in managing and executing multiple initiatives simultaneously.   

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Skills Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data across our new AI driven skills technology and in conjunction with Workday employee profiles.  This employee will support the development and maintenance of talent supply visuals, dashboards, and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) against the committed work. 

 

Initiatives Oversight: Lead and oversee various initiatives within the Talent Strategy team, ensuring they align with organizational goals and objectives as set with our HR and business customers. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution and successful completion of initiatives as well as monitor progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies. 

 

Asset Creation: It’s an exciting time in Talent Strategy and as we are mobilizing new services, collateral, tools, and frameworks. Work will include the design and development of compelling PowerPoint presentations for various stakeholders, including leadership.  In addition, translating complex data and information into clear, concise, and visually appealing presentations is expected and instrumental to quality outcomes.  

 

Operations support: Work closely with the Talent & Organizational Strategy operations lead, ensuring work across Talent Strategy is represented, risks are addressed, and timing commitments are clear.  This will include preparing and delivering regular reports on project status, performance metrics, and other relevant information plus assistance in planning, executing, and closing projects according to defined timelines and budgets. Ensure that business and HR stakeholder commitments are represented in holistic plans so that key activities can be prioritized accordingly.  

 

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Data Science, Project Management, or a related field preferred. 

3+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and project management roles. 

Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau). 

Advanced PowerPoint skills, with the ability to create professional and impactful presentations. 

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. 

Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously. 

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment. 

Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities and challenges.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$83,400 - $139,000
