MITRE’s Human and Organizational Systems (HOS) department partners with federal agencies, private sector organizations, and universities to conduct research, and then develop and apply innovative solutions that align people, processes, and technology to achieve strategic outcomes. HOS engagements include short-term, targeted organizational change projects and long-term, large-scale, complex enterprise transformation programs.
Job Responsibilities
Support workforce strategy development for new organizations, restructured programs, and/or merging functionsConduct demand and supply side workforce analysis using relevant models and workforce data; conduct data-driven competency assessments to identify skill gaps and other human capital shortfalls; examine current and projected workforce utilization; analyze past, present, and projected workload needs; and validate workforce requirementsIdentify and analyze training gaps based on competency assessments, and identify suitable strategies for training to close the gapSupport the design, implementation, analysis, and translation of organizational and/or workforce assessmentsConduct workload analysis across organizational functions and divisions by working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to include: subject matter experts, cross-disciplinary project management teams, and functional partners Design and facilitate meetings, workshops, and other in person/hybrid/remote convenings to align and mobilize stakeholders towards a shared goalContribute to the development of HOS capabilities (i.e., frameworks, methods, tools) via direct project work and/or MITRE’s independent research programBasic Qualifications
Currently enrolled full-time and will be enrolled full-time the following semester in an accredited graduate degree-seeking program with a focus on Organization Development, Human Resources, Management Sciences, Business Innovation, Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration (MPA), Public Policy (MPP), Organizational Learning, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and/or other related disciplines.Experience developing and delivering effective presentationsProficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointFamiliarity with qualitative and quantitative data analysis and translating/communicating findings to inform decisionsFamiliarity with how to apply data visualization techniquesSustained excellence in academic performance.Preferred Qualifications
Possesses HR certifications (e.g., PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/-SCP is a plus)Experience working with federal, state, or local governmentManagement consulting and/or government experienceExperience with organization development and change managementExperience with virtual engagement tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx)Experience with qualitative analysis software (e.g., NVivo, Atlas.ti)Experience with quantitative analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Minitab, Qualtrics)Experience with emerging technologies, such as Generative Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models.Experience with business innovation and human centered design methodologiesDemonstrated interest in serving the public.This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):
