The Human Experience Team is seeking a dynamic and motivated person to join the Human Experience Department. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to holistic well-being programming and initiatives that empower University Hospital team members to achieve their personal health and wellness goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for health promotion, strong communication skills, and a desire to make a meaningful impact on workforce well-being.
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree (or in progress) in a related field such as Health Promotion, Public Health, Psychology, Nutrition, Exercise Science). Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to engage diverse audiences through written, verbal, and visual channels. Organizational abilities such as time management, multitasking, and attention to detail are critical. Interpersonal skills, including empathy, teamwork, and the ability to foster collaborative relationships, are also important. Candidates should have technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with digital tools like social media platforms, graphic design software, and virtual meeting applications. A foundational understanding of health and wellness concepts and workplace trends is valuable, along with adaptability, creative problem-solving, a willingness to learn, and the ability to thrive in dynamic environments. Flexibility to work some non-traditional hours or attend events outside standard office hours.
EXPERIENCE: Previous internship, volunteer work, or part-time experience in health promotion, wellness, or employee engagement.
Experience in event planning or program facilitation preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Stand and walk for long periods of times (over 2/3 of the time), ability to lift and transport light materials or supplies for events/programs
