Working Press Supervisor/Tool Setter
**Job Title:** Working Press Supervisor/Tool Setter **Department:** Production - Gasket **Reports to:** President **Job Purpose** This position operates in an aerospace production environment, supervising a small department utilizing single die/stroke mechanical and hydraulic presses. Set-up experience is required. Responsibilities include placing tools in die sets and presses, performing some hand press work, and overseeing job scheduling to meet customer due dates. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, flexible, and able to adapt to an ever-changing environment. Attention to detail is essential to ensure quality standards flow throughout the department. Compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and customer specifications is critical to producing quality parts that meet customer requirements, blueprints, and travelers. **Key Responsibilities** + Ensure work completion aligns with quality procedures and work instructions. + Accurately complete and input batch documentation and supporting records into JobBOSS to meet on-time delivery goals. + Maintain traceability of raw materials and travelers. + Support and contribute to team training and onboarding of new staff. + Report non-compliance issues to the Quality Manager and assist with corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities. + Ensure manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) remain current and compliant. + Maintain production areas and equipment according to preventative maintenance schedules and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) policies. + Identify and assist with process improvement initiatives. + Adhere to ISO 9001, AS9100, and customer requirements. + Comply with company SOPs, safety protocols, and lockout/tagout policies, while participating in annual audits. + Undertake additional duties as requested by the President or Quality Manager, with appropriate training provided. + Participate in internal housekeeping inspections and quality/client audits. + Ensure the confidentiality of client information, adhering to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) guidelines. **Skills and Experience** + Knowledge of press operations. + Familiarity with manufacturing processes and traveler documents. + Experience in the aerospace industry is helpful but not required. + Proficiency with measurement tools, including calipers/verniers, pi tapes, micrometers, and drop indicators. + Blueprint reading skills are a plus. + Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding tolerances. + Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and a logical mindset. + Competent in basic computer operations. + Ability to work independently and manufacture accurate quantities. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Willingness to learn, be a team player, and maintain a positive attitude. + Reliable transportation and good attendance. + U.S. citizenship is required (per aerospace policies). + Ability to read and write English fluently. + Must have a steady hand. **Additional Information** + **Work Schedule:** + Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM–3:30 PM + Friday: 6:00 AM–10:00 AM (subject to workload adjustments) + **Compensation:** $28–$32 per hour (DOE) **Pay Details:** $28.00 to $32.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
