Working Student (d/f/m) in Airframe In-Service Engineering


You are a full time student, looking for a working student position? Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in Structural Repair Manual (SRM) as a working student (d/f/m) with approx. 18 hours a week! 


As an organization we are engaged in the development and timely delivery of the Structural Repair Manual  across the perimeter of forward and aft fuselage as well as doors for all commercial Airbus aircraft.

The structural repair manual is the handbook for aircraft operators to assess and repair damages on airframe structures in order to quickly return their aircraft into service. To succeed in our mission we are set-up as a multidisciplinary team, comprising different skills and competencies, such as Design, Authoring, Static, Fatigue & Damage Tolerance as well as Project Management.

Many of us are specialists in their domains, on whom you can rely for help. Our team will be ideal for you to learn on business management as well as on technical aspects.


Location: Hamburg
Start: as soon as possible
Duration:  12 months


You will receive a collectively agreed salary of at least €18.17 per hour, depending on the job. There are also special payments such as vacation pay.


Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.


Are you wondering how you actually get from university to Airbus? Your working student position is at the Finkenwerder plant and you can take the ferry from Teufelsbrück to the Airbus ferry terminal and back to the university in the morning and at noon. Alternatively, you can take the ferry to Finkenwerder and then ride your bike for about another 15 minutes to the main entrance.

Your tasks and responsibilities

You will support the digitalization and automation efforts of our department (e.g. preparing Ideation meetings for hands-on sessions and Hackathons)

You will support the improvement activities on our relevant business and project management processes (i.e. planning, follow-up, project sanity check, visualization and reporting)

You will support us in the identification and selection for our business solutions, best fitting our needs. 

You will support the preparation and update of visual management activities (e.g. Control Room)

You will support the internal & external communication of the team

 Desired skills and qualifications

You are a full time student (d/f/m) within Engineering, Digital media, IT or similar field of study 

You are looking for a working student position and would like to support Structure Repair Manual team

You understand AI models and preferably you have some experience with programming languages (e.g. Python)

You have good skills in GSuite (e.g. Sheets, Looker Studio and others)

You are able to step back and propose new ideas

You are naturally curious and fearless of asking questions

Working in Airbus implies to work in an international environment. As such you shall be able to communicate easily in English. As Hamburg-based, speaking German would help getting along with your colleagues.
