Pay and benefits for employees represented by a union are outlined in their collective bargaining agreement. **Position Purpose:** Responsible for providing on site hazardous and non-hazardous services to meet client environmental needs in accordance with state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. This position will work in a supervised and/or independent capacity to successfully, and safely, complete scheduled projects for customers. Responsibilities may include packing, labeling, manifesting, and shipping waste depending on contract type. **Primary Duties/responsibilities:** + Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing and potential problems + Manage on site customers hazardous and non hazardous waste needs per the contract + Comply and enforce all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures + Ensure completion and accuracy of all DOT/RCRA/EPA paperwork to expedite disposal of hazardous waste as required + Operate and maintain all equipment in a safe manner to insure optimum efficiency and effectiveness to complete assigned projects in a timely manner. + Knowledge and understanding of contract terms and possess the ability to follow through on assignments + May help develop and train OS I and II personnel in required task as needed + Other work related duties as assigned **Qualifications** **Education / Experience / Background:** + High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required + BS in Chemistry or a related science discipline preferred + Prior work experience in the hazardous waste or related industry preferred **Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:** + Strong Team Player + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Time management and organization to handle multiple tasks + Computer proficiency + Strong customer focus and orientation + Health and Safety awareness + Work independently and on an autonomous basis **Required Certification / Licenses / Training:** + 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification + Ability to obtain a Class A or B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) + Successful completion of OS II OJT and competency assessment **Additional Information** We are an Equal Opportunity Employer!
