About the Job

As the Head of Workplace Experience R&D Gent, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the Workplace Experience services for Sanofi's R&D center in Gent. This position is responsible for creating an innovative, efficient, and employee-centric work environment that supports Sanofi's R&D activities and aligns with the company's global Workplace Experience strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Collaborate with the Head of Workplace Experience R&D Frankfurt & Gent and local R&D management to implement Sanofi's global Workplace Experience strategy in Gent.Develop and execute a site-specific Workplace Experience plan that enhances productivity, innovation, and employee well-being.Lead, motivate, and develop the local Workplace Experience team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Drive the implementation of innovative workplace solutions and technologies to enhance the employee experience and operational efficiency.Continuously benchmark and optimize workplace processes and services against industry best practices.
 

Facility Management & Operations

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the R&D facility in Gent, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.Manage relationships with service providers and vendors to deliver high-quality facility management services.Develop and implement the Site Master Plan in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Ensure compliance with all applicable Belgian legislation and Sanofi's global HSE policies and procedures.Lead initiatives to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the R&D center.Champion sustainability initiatives within the R&D center, aligning with Sanofi's global environmental goals.Implement and manage the My Green Lab program at the Gent site.

Budget & Resource Management

Develop and manage the annual budget for Workplace Experience services at the Gent R&D site.Optimize resource allocation to ensure cost-effective delivery of services while maintaining high quality standards.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Ensure the team reflects Sanofi's Play to Win behaviors and embraces New Ways of Working.

Stakeholder and Project Management

Act as the primary point of contact for Workplace Experience matters at the Gent R&D site.Collaborate with various internal departments (e.g., HR, IT, Finance) and external partners to deliver integrated workplace solutions.Represent the Gent R&D site in relevant Sanofi global and regional Workplace Experience initiatives.Oversee workplace-related projects, including renovations, relocations, and implementation of new workplace concepts.Regularly gather and analyze employee feedback to inform workplace improvements.

About YouAdvanced degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in workplace management or facility operations, preferably in a pharmaceutical or R&D environment.Proven track record in leading workplace transformation initiatives and managing complex projects.Strong knowledge of Belgian workplace regulations and HSE requirements.Experience in managing budgets and optimizing operational costs.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.Fluency in English and Dutch; French is a plus.Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies used in modern workplace management.
