Workshop Coordinator
Wärtsilä Parts & Field Service is now looking for an enthusiastic Workshop Coordinator to join our skilled team in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

What will you be doing?
This position is based on site at our Workshop in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and reports to the Workshop Manager.
Candidates are expected to display a high level of critical thinking and reasoning skills, identify as high performers, as well as being self-motivating.
Accountabilities:
As a Workshop Coordinator, you will take ownership of workshop service orders; from the creation of orders to approving invoices and closing jobs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Opening Service Work Orders for all workshop Main or Sub orders for internal and external customers. After receipt of components in the workshop, expediting the quotation to external customers (based on info from the Workshop Manager on what parts and labor are needed, etc.). Sending Order acknowledgments. Submit requisitions for PO's to sub-suppliers; prepare the requisition and send to purchasing for the PO, send PO to supplier and request confirmation Placing parts orders to PCM; An email with the parts list and relevant SWO TECO completed jobs. (Technical completion of jobs) Shipping Requests for facilitating logistics of components to and from workshop. Informing Invoicing admins of jobs ready for DMR Expediting the approval of DMR Updating Order book: review all open orders and adjust completion dates, planned margins/costs, and expected revenue.) Updating WIP comments Giving input for Low/High Margins and for margin deviation Analysis Improve the Quality of Order book data. Create/Release Orders in SAP Approval of service DMRs. Able to maintain uninterrupted communication with customers and stakeholders daily. Provide support for workshop team lead to ensure constant workflow demands are met. Checks progress of each work order throughout the day. Keep the Workshop Manager informed of any issues well in time. Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments.
Main Requirements:
Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business Management) or equivalent work experience in administrative roles. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a workshop environment. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong computer literacy – SAP experience preferred.
