Requirements include:
Workshop experience (Mechanical or Technical) Fully Qualified Diesel Mechanic with a recognized qualification Red Seal Certification is highly preferred Extensive experience in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing earthmoving equipment is a significant advantage Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks meet or exceed industry standards Implement maintenance schedules and processes to minimize equipment downtime and increase productivity Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring that all maintenance, repair, and servicing activities are completed efficiently and on schedule. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of diesel mechanics and support staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Ensure that all workshop activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental and safety standards. Oversee the management of parts and tools inventory, ensuring accurate records, timely reordering, and cost-effective usage. Candidates must currently reside in the Western Cape Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Handling the communication between customers Excellent administration skills (Invoicing, PO's etc) In-depth knowledge and understanding engines and parts Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of diesel-powered machinery Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues Work on heavy-duty earthmoving equipment including excavators, bulldozers, and loaders Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and efficiency Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless operations having a can-do, leadership attitude Mechanical aptitude would be advantageous Why Join Us?
