Workshop Supervisor

Description

The workshop supervisor complies, classifies, and monitors the workshop service with regards to maintenance and disruptions to vehicles and installations and advises the Management and informs his team members regarding operational decision making.

The workshop supervisor ensures quality of service towards our clients by showing the right leadership skills, based on our TCR values which he/she promotes and implements. At the workshop, safety of all stakeholders is ensured by the supervisor. He/she performs reporting on safety, quality, and performance. The supervisor is actively performing maintenance and repair at least two third of its time. The rest of the time is spent on team roll-out of safety culture, team supervision and workshop organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1.\tCoaching and leading the team

•\tTaking end-responsibility for quality, efficiency, safety, and resources within his/her own unit;

•\tCoaching and motivating the team members and taking care of teamwork;

•\tTaking responsibility for the team.

2.\tManagement of the work package - Implement TCR processes and procedures with the utilization of SAP to achieve the following:

•\tManage resource and manpower allocation in coordination with management;

•\tEnsuring a correct stock management by determining and ordering the available and needed resources such as (spare) parts, office supplies, etc.;

•\tGiving insights to the management regarding the feasibility of the planning and advise on the possible solutions and bottlenecks;

•\tIdentification and visualization of the planned maintenance and outstanding problems using the available systems;

•\tTracking the progress of the work package (disruptions and maintenance) on the basis of available recourses and by monitoring standard times, bottlenecks, back log and feasibility within the given mandate;

•\tAssisting team members in processing and making production figures and/or quality data visible to operations;

•\tCreating, checking, evaluating and signing inspection lists;

•\tImplementing contingency procedures.

3.\tSubject-specific support to the team members

•\tInstructing in maintenance and malfunctions for the purpose of safe maintenance of vehicles and equipment;

•\tKnowledge transfer for professional development of the team members.

4.\tParticipating in regular consultations for the purpose of coordinating and evaluating activities

•\tCoordination with departments such as: customers, suppliers, TCR departments;

•\tProviding information from customers to team members regarding matters that influence the operations;

•\tAdvising customers with regard to the availability of vehicles and equipment.

5.\tContinue improvement

•\tContributing to the professional knowledge to set-up (quality) measurements in consultation with the management;

•\tProposal for improvement such as adjusting procedures and making new work agreements;

•\tInvestigating and coming up with technical improvements (modifications) to equipment in order to reduce the cost price per unit of product to increase availability for the customer.

6.\tPerforms tasks that are specific for the technicians, including the associated responsibilities and authorities.

7.\tTaking end-responsibility for the workshop administration within the own unit and in cooperation with relevant departments. This including work orders, invoicing preparation and time control.

8.\tDemonstrating active safety leadership by driving the safety culture and implementing initiatives to continuously improve TCR’s safety performance and OHS management system.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must Haves:

3-5 ears of Hands on GSE or diesel Technician experience

3-5 years of Supervision experience

ERP System experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00
