The starting rate for this position is: $32.48/hr Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. JOB SUMMARY In this position, the nurse will deliver patient care in an outpatient wound center under the direction of the medical director. Utilizing their scope of practice and education, the nurse will provide specialized care for patients requiring wound management, ostomy care, and other related treatments offered within the department. Responsibilities include (but not limited to) basic and advanced wound care following hospital policy, evaluate and document wound progress and clinical findings, assist the physician with minor procedures and specialized wound treatments, participates in performance improvement initiatives in compliance with departmental standards, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to further support patient care when necessary, and participation in departmental or hospital-wide committees, etc. This position may require additional training to work with patients receiving hyperbaric oxygen therapy. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Current Maine RN license BLS within 30 days of hire CWOCN/CWS preferred (Must hold four-year college degree to obtain certification) Bachelor's Degree preferred Experience 3 – 5 years preferred (Homecare, Med/Surg Critical Care – with wound care experience preferred) Other Skills Required: Must be a team player, have strong communication skills as well the ability to multi-task.
