Our Wound Care team is looking to add a Registered Nurse. This role is perfect for someone that is passionate about healing wounds and protecting our skin. In this role, you will be joining a collaborative team, being able to exchange ideas and knowledge with fellow caregivers in Florida and Ohio.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
• Providing specialized direct and indirect care to patients with select disorders of the integumentary, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary system or who are at risk for pressure injury.
• Being responsible for ongoing professional development of nurses in the areas of wounds, ostomies, continence, skin care screening, prevention, and treatment.
• Providing consultation in the clinical field of wound, ostomies, incontinence, skin care and pressure ulcers.
• Providing education to patients with wounds, ostomies, incontinence, and pressure ulcers.
A caregiver in the role will provide weekend coverage, working up to 12 hours on Saturdays.
Minimum qualifications for a caregiver in this role are:
1 year recent RN experience required.
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
Current licensure as an RN required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) certification
24 months to obtain wound ostomy continence certifications through the Wound Ostomy Continence Certification Board (WOCNCB)
Preferred qualifications for the ideal caregiver are:
1 year of RN experience in wound care.
Wound Care National Certification preferred to start, then can build to CWOCN certification within 24 months.
Skilled in assessing wounds in various stages of injury and healing.
Can provide treatment plans and solutions.
Has a passion for wound care.
Works well in a team.
