Provide field service engineering and technical assistance to customers in areas of installation, startup, maintenance & repair, training, and modification of equipment. Provide technical solutions to customers that involve engineering research impacting equipment or product design, testing of materials, process studies, and economic impact analysis. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical or engineering technology). This is a degreed engineer with at least one year of experience. Participates on project teams and carries out assigned work activities. Works on fairly routine or structured engineering projects or repair.

Who We Are:Transco Railway Products, Inc. has been the leader in providing railcar maintenance and services to the railcar industry.  We have earned the reputation for honesty, integrity, and superior quality which has allowed us to establish a committed customer base.  Transco is part of Marmon - a strong, growing, global organization that consists of more than 100 autonomous manufacturing and service companies.  Job Description:We are looking for a Write-Up Inspector to perform thorough inbound railcar inspections, submit comprehensive and accurate estimate packages, and supports plant production.  The Write-Up Inspector will also support the production team with other initiatives as needed.Job Requirements:Inspect estimate packages for completeness and accuracy in a timely manner.Lead preprocess research.Work with scheduling to ensure estimates are complete to meet production demand.Interface with engineering, car owners, and customers for repair instructions (contract review).Verify the incorporation of supplemental repairs into final Billing Repair Card (BRC).Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) of supplemental repairs.Able to perform tasks that require climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms. Verifies cars are properly secured and identified prior to releasing.Able to pass drug screen and physical.
