AWS is seeking a driven and talented Business Operations Lead to play a critical role on our Worldwide Public Sector National Security and Defense Business Operations team. This role is an important point of coordination between the WWPS government sales teams, finance teams, and AWS technical organizations, and is responsible for driving scalable operational mechanisms, creating strategic narratives, and running the operational cadence to drive growth in secure government regions.

Close partnership with leaders and organizations outside of your immediate team will be necessary, as you will compile data and information that will influence decisions at the most senior levels in Amazon. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical abilities, strong business acumen and judgement, intense curiosity, and superior written and verbal communication skills, along with a passion for pursuing operational excellence.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.


Key job responsibilities
• Develop reporting systems and performance dashboards that encompass key metrics to be reviewed with senior Sales Directors, VPs, and the WWPS leadership team in order to drive and manage the business
• Support various WWPS leaders with analysis, ad-hoc data requests, meetings/presentations, and strategic planning activities
• Extract raw usage and financial data from business databases and data warehouse, and perform analytics to produce meaningful reports that enable decision making
• Generate metrics and deliver regular reports on progress against KPIs to senior leaders and internal stakeholders
• Interact with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, create new processes/solutions, and resolve complex problems
• Design and develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly dashboards, scorecards and reporting for the business
• Evaluate and advise on ways to improve data quality and ensure data integrity and consistency across multiple domains/systems
