Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a X-Ray Assistant - Full Time - Evening.

In this role, the successful candidate Transports patients supplies and laboratory items in a safe efficient manner throughout the facility Assists in the delivery of mail as needed

Job Responsibilities:

Performs other duties as assignedDelivers supplies mail and laboratory items as directedMaintains patient safety and handles all patients in a calm and reassuring mannerProperly manages all transport equipment Cleanssanitizes transport equipment after use Returns all transport equipment to the proper storage area when not in use Practices safe handling and storage of oxygen tanks according to policyTransports patients to and from bedside according to correct mode of transportation as directed Ensures patient identification and information matches record log before transporting Notifies nurse of patient s arrival and departure from the unit as well as the tele tech on the cardiac monitored units

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or GED Good communication both oral and written interpersonal and customer service skills Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:
1 2 years in a Hospital setting

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $45,153.48 - $49,142.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
