X-RAY PROCESSOR

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Works independently under general supervision to process castings and prepare them for interpretation through radiographic film and digital radiography.

X-Ray Processor may not move for two (2) years, unless movement is a promotion within the department.

Must be able to work 12 Hour Days or Nights on a rotating shift. (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Using Computers (entering information, etc) Must be able to read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI). Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision. Must be able to maintain expected quality levels. Work requires basic skills in reading, writing and math plus the use of fractions and/or decimals.  The ability to perform interpretive defect analysis, follow simple instructions and visual aids. Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to:  EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains accurate records of department inventory of all regular production, rework, and engineering castings. Performs all logging in procedures, verifications of proper routing, and assigns exclusive lead plate identification numbers to all castings to be x-rayed. Prepares castings by positioning parts and identification tags for all engineering, rework, rough x-ray castings and regular production work. Verifies serialization sheet when applicable. Inspects readers’ reports and film to insure that all information corresponds and is precisely documented. Mechanically engraves or impression stamps permanent x-ray serial numbers onto castings. Works reasonable amount of overtime as needed. Loads/Unloads Digital Radiography equipment Operate Digital Radiography unit through software interactions (start/stop/verify serials numbers) Operate Digital Radiography unit through hardware interactions (control panel) Log data in to Digital Radiography Log Book Checks rejected castings for visually acceptable defects that may have imaged. Penetrameter upkeep and records. Daily light intensity checks. Performs other duties as required. Complies with all EHS rules related to the work environment. Works Overtime as needed.

•    Must pass Jaeger 1 vision test annually for depth perception when setting mold position.
•    Work requires constant concentration and alertness when inspecting castings.
•    Work requires moderate physical effort including constant standing and lifting.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Experience working in a manufacturing environment.Basic Computer skills.NDI Experience
