X-Ray/Radiology Technologist - PRN

The X-ray Technologist performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for position patients and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced. The X-ray Technologist works closely with radiologists.

Prepares patients for exam; communicates instructions and information. Follows AIDET model to consistently achieve highest quality of patient satisfaction.Consistently follows all elements of prescribed electronic workflow. Correctly and accurately utilizes the RIS and/or PACS to access patient information, enter charges, complete examinations, record allergies, etc.Performs timely, accurate quality control testing as required by the imaging system manufacturer and accrediting agencies.Manages and utilizes C-Arm X-ray equipment for use during surgical procedures. Assists with collection and transport of surgical specimens to Imaging.

Minimum Education
ARRT (R) registered or registry eligible in Radiologic Technology. If registry eligible at time of hire, must pass registry examination within 6 months of hire
Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.

Minimum Work Experience
Preferred - 1+ years of experience as a registered technologist in the appropriate modality

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
