– proven pediatric experience.
– Extensive hands on with X-Ray equipment and diagnoses of the Radiology Department. – This position also involves interviewing patients to reveal concerns; collecting and documenting patient information. Superior ability to position patients during radiologic imaging procedure. – VA license required. – Weekly guarantee hours is between 36 and 40: Monday thru Friday from 3p to 11p with weekends as needed. – More detail to be discussed during the interview.The X-Ray Technician / Radiology Technician performs diagnosticprocedures and activities to create detailed diagnostic images that aid in thediagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. The X-Ray Technician / Radiology Technician collaborates with members ofthe radiology and health care team to promote total patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs all radiologic procedures which are offered by thedepartment, following exam protocols on neonatal, pediatric, adult andgeriatric patients Completes paperwork and computer related duties Assists radiologists, staff physicians, nursing, andhospital personnel with radiological services Maintains department facilities, equipment, and materials ina condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety of patients andstaff Checks and maintains equipment, supplies and accessories ona regular daily basis and per facility protocol Keeps supplies current, clean and replenished Processes film, evaluates for technical quality and accuratepatient identification and side labeling Greets patients, verifies patient identification andphysician orders Obtains, correlates and documents clinical history, prior tothe start of examination Transports patients and informs nursing units of patients’departure and arrival Holds medical and other sensitive information in confidence Knowledge of radiation safety measures and protection tocomply with government regulations Performs other duties as assigned/necessaryMinimum Requirements:
High School diploma or its equivalent certification. Completion of an accredited radiological technology program,community-based college, or hospital-based program if required bystate/contract State license or certificate where required Current ARRT certificate preferred Full command, verbal and written, of the English language Prefer one-year relevant experience as a radiologytechnician Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency programwhen applicable Current CPR if applicable TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required Computer proficiency required Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: Competitive pay & weekly paychecks Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) savings plan Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
