Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an X-Ray Technologist-Woodhull.

Under supervision operates radiology imaging equipment to produce images for use by professional personnel.

Job Responsibilities:

Applies roentgen rays and radioactive substances to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes May specialize in taking x rays of specific areas of body Assists in treating diseased or affected areas of body under supervision of physician by exposing area to specified concentrations of x rays for prescribed periods of time Positions patient under x ray machine adjusts immobilization devices and affixes lead to plates to protect unaffected areas May assist in therapy requiring application of radium or radioactive isotopes Makes minor adjustments to equipment Prepares reports and maintains records of service rendered Adjusts switches regulating length and intensity of exposure Administers drugs or chemical mixtures orally or as enemas to render organs opaque Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS license and ARRT (R) registered. 

Preferred Qualifications:

0 2 years of experience in general radiology Knowledgeable in the use of PACS system

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $49.04 – $55.27 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
