We are seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to join our talented team in Redondo Beach, CA. As a Systems Engineer you will support a team of engineers to define, develop, decompose, analyze, verify, and validate requirements for the satellite system.
This position is contingent upon program award and/or customer funding.
This position will focus primarily on system engineering for resource controller software requirements analysis, decomposition, and allocation from system-level requirements down to lower-level requirements; software requirement specification development; preparing content for delta-PDR and CDR; document software design in model; software requirements mapping and analysis; and liaising with subject matter experts, analysts, architects, designers, and specialty engineers to ensure requirements are defined holistically, completely, and unambiguously for an integrated system. This role also includes product management tasking for project reporting, cost and schedule tracking, and assessment and mitigation of project risks.
Basic Qualifications:
Staff Systems Engineer: 12 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 10 Years of relevant experience with Masters; 8 Years of relevant experience with PhDActive DoD Secret clearance required at the time of application with the ability to acquire DoD Top SecretWorking knowledge of systems engineering principles and processesExperience with front end of SE “vee” requirements analysis and decomposition and generation of requirement specificationsExperience with requirements verification and qualification testingAbility to collaborate and contribute to technical discussions with fellow team members, cross-organizational teams, and managementExperience with developing software requirements specifications, this includes deriving software requirements from parent specification (functional and performance requirements)Experience generating requirements traceability matrixExperience using DOORS or equivalent requirements management databaseFamiliarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and conceptsEmbedded systems software development, integration, and test experienceFamiliar with processing payloads and/or Military communication satellitesExperience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account managerFull understanding and significant experiences with full software life cycle (requirement, design, code, test, integration), SW builds, programming standards and practicesDemonstrated success aligning teams, organizations, or employee resource groups to achieve a common goalExcellent communication and technical writing skillsCost Account Management (CAM) experiencePreferred Qualifications:

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
