Yacht Accountant

Job Description I am recruiting for a Yacht Accountant, to work for a Yacht Management company based in their Southampton office.
This role involves delivering expert financial administration, management, and reporting for our clients' yachts. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of each yacht's income and expenses, the ability to create budgets, and the capability to provide clear and concise variance analysis to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for yacht owners, their representatives, captains, and crew members. Prepare and deliver regular client reports (monthly/quarterly). Develop and manage budgets. Maintain and update systems, including cloud-based software. Handle frequent administration of invoices and payments, including urgent requests. Conduct regular bank, card, and cash reconciliations. Manage charter accounting, including charter sales invoices, fiscal representatives, local VAT returns, and other related filings. Additional Duties:
Support other yacht services, including crew employment and payroll. Collaborate with the yacht management team to solve problems and offer additional services as needed. Assist the corporate accounting function to ensure alignment in financial statement returns and cash flow management. Provide operational management services when required. Attend conferences and shows as necessary. The ideal candidate:
Experience working in the superyacht industry either on-board or shore-based. Excellent relationship building skills. Willingness to travel to various locations as required. Availability to travel to clients and events worldwide. Part-qualified in accounting is desirable. Salary based on experience.
