What you will be doing

The position will be based in Irvine, CA

Main responsibilities

Under direct supervision the Yard Sanitation employee is responsible for the daily cleaning of the yard and parking lots as well as, emptying all the trash cans outside of each building and parking lots.

Sweep yard with street sweeper Remove all weeds along walls, stairways and the interior yard Empty all parking lot and yard trash cans Pick up any litter throughout yard and parking lots Clean warehouse points of entry Advise supervision of any yard deficiencies Special area cleaning as assigned

The starting hourly rate for this position is $22.15 to max hourly rate of $31.64 per hour. Dependent on length of service, and hours worked and terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, benefits include healthcare, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay and retirement benefits. pension and/or 401k eligibility.

Skill, Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.  Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for use of hand tools.  Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead and to work in or under the equipment.  Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to perform job duties.  Ability to operate work related equipment such as sanitation related power equipment and hand tools, forklifts and pallet jacks. Mental alertness is necessary to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities. Ability to learn and follow Company and Distribution Center policies regarding safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks, Sanitation related power equipment and hand tools.  Ability to learn and follow Distribution Center paperwork policies and procedures.  Ability to read and comprehend all labeling on hazardous materials and equipment in the facility. Most work is performed in outdoor conditions. Exposure to potential hazards exists with respect to equipment and materials necessary to perform job functions.  Potential exposure exists to heat and cold extremes, vehicle and equipment traffic and lubricants and solvents.
