Temp-to-Hire position$17.00 /hourFull Time work availableWeekend work requiredSecond ShiftSafely and efficiently move trailers and containers within the yard using a yard truck or other material handling equipment.Ensure proper parking and staging of trailers to optimize loading/unloadingAssist with the loading and unloading process as needed, coordinating with warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate movement of goods.Perform routine inspections of trailers, yard equipment, and vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with company policies.Monitor and maintain organization of the yard to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.Communicate with warehouse and shipping teams to coordinate schedules and track inventory movements.Assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety within the yard area, adhering to all safety and operational guidelines.Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the appropriate team for resolution.Support the yard supervisor and logistics team in day-to-day operations, including coordinating with drivers and dock workers.Yard Hostler Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).Previous experience as a yard hostler or in a similar yard/warehouse role is a plus.Ability to operate yard trucks, forklifts, or other heavy-duty equipment safely and efficiently.Applicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
