Yard Supervisor
General Summary Under the direction of the Management, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising employees, ensuring safety and efficiency. The Supervisor will lead by example, focusing on maintaining a secure and organized work environment throughout their shift. Additional responsibilities include operating other equipment. **Major Duties and Responsibilities** • Ensure safety and security are the top priority for all employees. • Supervise the product is stored correctly. • Assist and direct customers during pick-up and drop-off. • Monitor and ensure the timely completion of tasks assigned to employees. • Assist in training new and existing staff. • Support the management team with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. • Communicate issues promptly to Management. • Ensure customers and vendors comply with company rules and regulations. • Able to de-escalate conflicts with customers and vendors • Oversee and assist with the direction and completion of company projects. • Complete assigned reports as required • Participate in the on-call rotation when needed. • Supervise and guide employees during the shift. • Maintain cross-training in various operational areas. **Minimum Requirements:** • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) • Two or more years’ experience as a Supervisor in a Warehouse, Manufacturing, or Logistics company. • Valid New Jersey driver’s license with a clean driving history • Strong verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word • Flexibility to work additional hours, including off-hours call-ins and some holidays. • Hands-on • Dependable • Critical Thinker **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $63000.00/yr.
