Move trailers as directed by the loading office personnel to accommodate the operation. Shift hours: 8-hour shift 1st shift: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Able and willing to work any shift schedule needed Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Pay: $28.57 per hour Overtime pay Time worked after 8 hours of work is paid at 1.5 times regular rate of pay Time worked on Saturday is paid at 1.5 times regular rate of pay Time worked on Sunday is paid at 2 times (double pay) regular rate of pay Benefits: Vacation and Holiday paid time off Opportunity to earn 12 additional Paid Days Off Great paid time off benefits 401(k) match Health Insurance- Including medical, dental and life And much more!  About our Location: The Buffalo, NY plant is located on the waterfront, providing convenient access to Canada and major cities like Toronto and New York City. What your day will look like:  Creating high quality foods that are eaten EVERYDAY, NATIONWIDE Using TECHNOLOGY in an industry-leading facility Working with HIGH-LEVEL operators on EXPERIENCED teams that are looking to pass down their knowledge to workers WILLING TO LEARN and get paid doing it CHALLENGING yourself to get the JOB DONE RIGHT and gain skills to take with you to your next opportunity Responsible for making sure the switcher truck is in good working order including checking gas, oil, tires and fluid levels. Report any mechanical difficulties to Team Leader Possess a valid commercial driver’s license Participate in the random drug and alcohol testing program Coordinate trailers “pulls” and “spots” with Loading Coordinators, Shopcheckers and Team Leaders for Finished Product and Raw Material loads, Certa, UPak and paper truck Daily yard checks – to locate empty equipment for tracking by the loading office Keep the yard orderly including managing and communicating yard overflow Tag rejected trailers, communicating with loading office personnel Trouble-shoot problems and take proper corrective action Maintain situational awareness for general product protection Actively communicate with Team Leaders and loading office personnel Relay all pertinent information from shift to next shift’s switcher Remain on the job until properly relieved Load flour trucks if needed Unload CHEP pallet trucks Clean switcher both inside and outside including windows What you have to offer:  Minimum of a high school diploma or GED Up to date Class A CDL required prior to hire Must obtain and maintain CDL in order to perform switcher tasks as assigned 2+ years of warehouse/forklift experience preferred Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment COMPANY OVERVIEW We exist to make food the world loves.
