The Yard Truck Operator position is responsible to maneuver trucks and trailers throughout the lot and offsite warehouse in addition to moving and unloading railcars consisting of bulk ingredients in and out of staging areas. * Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* * Comply with DOT regulations including truck weights and verification process * Obtain/maintain CDL requirements * Comply with Food Defense and Food Safety practices * Maintaining product inventory levels * Review Trailor reports for incoming deliveries * Communicate with dispatch and Inventory Planners on material need * Clean, inspect and lubricate equipment as part of our Autonomous Maintenance program * Observe safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and good housekeeping practices * Complete safety and quality checks and associated daily production paperwork * Fork truck license required * Minimum Qualifications:* * Must be at least 18 years of age * Must possess a High School diploma/GED * Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English * Must be flexible to work any shift - 1st / 2nd / 3rd (8, 10 or 12 hour shifts) * Must be available to work weekends, holidays and overtime * Must be able to lift up to 35-50 lbs * Must be authorized to work in the United States * Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions, decimals, and whole numbers. * Basic computer skills * Preferred Qualifications:* * Manufacturing / Food manufacturing with a minimum of 2 years experience * Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) practices * Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Autonomous Maintenance (AM) * Experience with Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) / quick change-over process * Experience with Continuous Improvement methodology * Class A CDL The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
