Yard Worker Salt Lake City, UT Job Type Full-time Description Wheeler Machinery Co. is seeking to hire a Yard Worker to Operate the PSD Rental Yard and Warehouse at their Salt Lake City, Utah location. Keep safety first in all tasks while utilizing TRACK/Tyfoom. This will be a full-time benefited position responsible for Check in, inspect, clean, and service PSD rental equipment Manage warehouse accessory inventory, cables connectors, consumables, etc. Prepare units for rental, stage, load, assist in connecting to trucks etc. Organize yard and warehouse. **Duties and Responsibilities** + Ensure maximum availability of PSD rental equipment. + Check in returning PSD rental equipment. + Schedule any required maintenance or repairs with the service department. + Self-perform minor oil change services, cleaning, etc. + Stage rent ready PSD rental equipment in the rental yard. + Check out PSD rental equipment ensuring the proper accessories are present. + Provide required documentation, training on how to operate the equipment if needed. + Provide trailer hook up assistance if needed. + Manage the warehouse rental accessory inventory and PSD storage areas. + Provide back-up assistance to the rental coordinator as needed. + Performs all other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** Minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job: + Associate’s degree (or equivalent level of experience) + Basic knowledge of rental generator equipment operation, service, and accessories + Basic knowledge of rental air compressor operation, service, and accessories + Experience performing minor oil change service, minor repairs, and cleaning + Experience driving a forklift and moving large trailer mounted equipment + Demonstrated ability to interact tactfully with less knowledgeable customers (who may or may not be experienced with the equipment they are renting or buying). __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
