**Job Title: Yard Worker** **Job Description** As a Yard Worker, you will play a crucial role in the logistics and production flow of our operations. Using a forklift, you will be responsible for unloading semi-trucks of raw steel, transporting materials to various production areas, and moving finished products to the warehouse for shipment. Additionally, you will assist with strapping down loads, act as a parts runner, and move steel into the shop from outside. **Responsibilities** + Unload semi-trucks of raw steel using a forklift. + Transport materials to production areas, welding, paint, and warehouse. + Assist with strapping down loads onto trucks. + Move steel into the shop from outside. + Act as a parts runner in the shop. + Work 50% outside and 50% inside. **Essential Skills** + 1+ year of sit-down forklift experience. + Willingness and ability to work outdoors year-round. + Experience with sit-down forklifts. + Understanding and adherence to safety protocols. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience operating an overhead crane is a plus. + Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes. + Inventory control skills. **Why Work Here?** Be part of a dynamic and clean work environment with a focus on structural steel beams for buildings. The work involves being on the forklift for about 60% of the time, with the remaining 40% spent on paperwork and hand unloading steel onto various surfaces. You must have steel-toed boots and adhere to a dress code of work pants and non-offensive shirts or jackets.
