**Job Title: Yard Worker** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Yard Worker to join our team, responsible for evaluating and photographing damaged vehicles for auction. This role involves working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. **Responsibilities** + Walk the yard and take 10-15 images of each damaged vehicle. + Gather supplies in the morning and be at your station by 8:10 AM. + Work out of a supply cart with all necessary supplies. + Evaluate wrecked vehicles using a questionnaire on a mobile tablet. + Scan vehicle stock and VIN numbers to ensure all information matches. + Determine if vehicles can start, run, or drive. + Jump-start vehicles if necessary and apply crash tape. + Install window covers and securely place all items left in the vehicle in the trunk. + Double-check the accuracy of all photos and information. **Essential Skills** + Attention to detail + Ability to read and write + Valid driver's license + Steel toe boots **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Automotive mechanical experience **Why Work Here?** Join a smaller company that values its employees and offers a collaborative work environment. The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Markham, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
