**Job Title: Yard Worker** **Job Description** Yard Workers should enjoy working in the elements. They are detail-oriented, quick on their feet, and often have a passion for cars. While Yard Workers always focus on safety first, they understand the importance of a quick and smooth operation. Responsibilities include inventorying vehicles, imaging, cleaning out vehicles, and cataloging mileage. **Responsibilities** + Record and file information on vehicles assigned to the facility + Thoroughly clean vehicles to improve their appearance and enhance their value at auction (training provided) + Operate passenger vehicles safely, moving them around the facility and/or participating in drive-through auctions + Recover keys, license plates, and other objects from vehicles and store them appropriately + Assist visitors by providing appropriate guidance and directing them to the right person for further assistance + Train and develop on the job in forklift and loader operation **Essential Skills** + High school diploma + Comfortable working in the elements + General knowledge about cars + Mechanically inclined + Steel-toed boots **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic automotive repair skills preferred + Experience in or exposure to the construction field + Ability to use power tools and hand tools + Ability to lift 50-60 lbs **Why Work Here?** Enjoy steady hours and the opportunity for overtime. The job involves heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs) and working in varying weather conditions, including harsh winters in Upstate NY. Standard working hours are 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break. The team consists of 6-8 members. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cicero, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
