**Job Title: Yard Worker/Load Builder** **Job Description** Work outdoors all year long in a lumber yard, performing cleaning, yard maintenance, stocking, and assisting customers. You will load customers as they arrive, secure loads with strapping, bracing, or padding, and move inventory. Responsibilities also include assembling packages, staging orders, and building loads for delivery. You will operate large sit-down propane or diesel forklifts (6k-11k lbs), hand trucks, and dollies, spending most of your day on the forklift. **Responsibilities** + Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the yard. + Stock inventory and assist customers with loading. + Secure loads with strapping, bracing, or padding. + Move inventory and assemble packages. + Stage orders and build loads for delivery. + Operate large sit-down propane or diesel forklifts, hand trucks, and dollies. + Load trucks for delivery to customer job sites. **Essential Skills** + General labor experience. + Understanding of construction materials. + Experience working with lumber/trusses or in a lumber yard/mill. + Ability to follow directions and be teachable. + Stable job history with steady employment. + Capable of working long days on your feet. + Prior outdoor working experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Past driving experience (DOT/Non CDL) is a plus. + Order pulling and staging experience. + Forklift experience. + Construction, pallet building, material handling experience. + Experience with RF scanners, loading, unloading, order picking. + Customer service experience. + Landscaping, yard work, hand tool usage. + Comfortable using circular or chop saw to cut wood. + Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs frequently and up to 80lbs occasionally. + 2+ years of experience in a warehouse setting preferred. + Prior lumber experience is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Join a company that offers growth opportunities based on performance, with positions such as Load Builder I and II available.
