Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesThe role of the Communications Intern is to support the company’s strategic communications activities through creative and analytical assignments.
Key tasks include:
o Compile monthly reports for the company’s communications channels
o Create and distribute weekly e-newsletter and track readership
o Update and monitor the regional social media pages
o Manage the news section of the regional intranet page
o Draft internal articles about company and employee news
o Assist with the development of PPT presentations
o Provide event support for media engagements, tech shows, conferences, and other internal and external events
o Industry media reports for leadership
o Photography and video support
Support with the creation and editing of various communications items including powerpoint presentations, digital surveys, and corporate adsKey skills:
o Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills
o DSLR camera photo and video experience
o Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Powerpoint and Excel
o Proficient with social media and digital communications channels
o Ability to extrapoliate and contextualize data in presentations
o Detail-oriented and adheres to deadlines
o Experience with Adobe Suite is a plus, but not required Premiere, Photoshop, Ilustrator
o Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a collaborative team environment
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Studying English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
Experience:
o Experience working in a collegiate or professional environment, preferably in a Communications or Marketing-related position

o Excellent interpersonal skills and customer orientation
o Creativity, open mind and autonomy
o Ability to convey a positive and professional image both externally and internally
