MAJOR FUNCTION:

Creates and facilitates SBYSP program activities that support healthy adolescent development in a holistic, preventative, and positive manner. Provides mentoring, job readiness skills and employment training opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor Degree in a related field, Social Sciences/Education. Associate degree with documentation of at least 3 years of full-time experience as a youth service worker.                        2 -3 years’ experience working with adolescents.

Certification/Licensure: 

First Aid and CPR required within 3 months of hire.

Knowledge & Skills:

Excellent program development and facilitation skills with a strong background in the delivery of educational, recreational and employment services. Must possess strong organization skills; must exhibit the ability to relate positively with all levels of professionals. Ability to work flexible schedules with frequent interruptions. Possesses willingness to improve by attending seminars or educational programs geared to enhance skills and knowledge relative to adolescent development. Must demonstrate loyalty, reliability, tactfulness, honesty, integrity and discretion and exhibit professional appearance. Physical Requirements:
