Camp Staff begin working in early June with staff training the week of June 2-6. Most of our summer camp weeks run Monday – Thursday, beginning the week of June 9 and running through the week of August 11. We will have three weeks that run Monday – Wednesday (weeks of June 9, July 21, and August 11). Assistants work weekdays from about 7:45am-4:45pm. Fridays (Thursdays of short weeks) will have staff attending an hour-long morning staff meeting. Training will be provided. Must demonstrate an interest in learning about child development and guidance; a willingness to take direction from the assigned teacher; willing to obtain a food handlers permit, TB test, Bureau of Criminal Investigation ( BCI ) background check, first aid training are required. Demonstrated human relation and effective human relations skills are also required. **Preferences** * Experience with Young Explorers – You’ve worked with kids in camps, classrooms, museums, or other informal learning spaces and know how to spark their curiosity. * Reliable & Organized – You’re the person who shows up on time, ready to go, with everything in order. Dependability is your middle name! * A Fantastic Communicator – Whether you’re giving directions, answering questions, or leading an activity, you know how to connect with campers, parents, and teammates. * Energetic & Self-Motivated – You bring enthusiasm, take initiative, and aren’t afraid to dive in and make camp an unforgettable experience. * Passionate About STEAM & Nature – You have a broad knowledge of science, technology, engineering, art, and math—or at least a strong curiosity to learn more! * Customer Service Pro – You’re friendly, approachable, and ready to help, ensuring every camper and family has a positive experience. * Bilingual?
