About the Role

 

Rapid Rehousing for Young Adults is a solution to homelessness designed to help young adults aged 18-24 quickly exit homelessness to permanent housing. The program provides rental assistance and support services that are tailored to the unique needs of the young person. The Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program Supervisor provides supervision and support to a unit of case managers, and other support staff to ensure the program participants receive high quality case management.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Provide supervision and support to program support staffSupervise the provision of case management, counseling to prevent homelessness among at risk youth Conduct intake, screening and assessment of program participantsReview case notes, assessments and referral material data completed by case managersActs as a liaison with any existing service providers involved with the program participantsParticipates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetingsFacilitate Case Management Trainings, Workshops, Meetings Work with providers to obtain appropriate referralsSubmit reports as required by the funderWorks with the Director to develop and evaluate the program Conducts outreach and presentations as needed and as assignedPerforms all other program and position duties as delegated Qualifications

Your Qualifications

MSW or master’s degree in a related field required3 to 5 years of experience providing case management services requiredSupervisory experience preferredExperience working with homeless and at-risk youth required

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday in our Headquarters at 1333 Broadway office in Midtown Manhattan. Work hours options are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm, 10 am - 6 pm.

 

Additional Requirements:

Authorized to work in the U.S.Ability to work in-person in New York City (NY) for at least 3 days or more per week.Ability to travel to other Rising Ground sites (if required)
