The Sanford Center has provided outreach services to Sioux City Schools since 1993 and positively affected thousands of kids lives over the years. The Youth Outreach Specialist, takes a genuine interest in the students in their case load by acting as a coach. mentor and positive role model.  The Youth Outreach Specialist works directly with kids in the Sioux City Community School District to facilitate needed services to promote their well-being.

Compensation: $30,000/year

Schedule: follows the school schedule

Responsibilities:

Implement behavior plans for students with goals and objectives Provide progress reports Conduct home visits and document interactions 

 

Qualifications: 

Associates degree in social work, criminal justice, psychology or related field (or) HS Diploma with at least 2 yrs experience in human services Licensed to operate a motor vehicle and meet agency's auto insurance requirements

Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting Excellent written and verbal communication skills
