Youth Production Technician Intern

Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Youth Production Intern to join our growing team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Youth Production Technician Program involves the execution of various manufacturing processes such as composite fabrication, infusion, assembly, metrology, ovens, non destructive testing, and other. Youth Production Technicians are required to follow directions carefully, have basic mechanical knowledge, manual dexterity, good eyesight, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.

A Youth Production Technician must be willing to learn and perform the following essential job functions: 

Reads, interprets, and follows work orders, isometric drawings, blueprints, work instructions and other technical and non-technical documents. Receives and carries out directions from designated supervisors. Participates in training, safety, and quality programs. Keeps work orders stamped, dated and organized. Cuts and lays composite fabric and flow media to design specifications under supervision. Vacuum bagging in order to prepare parts for drop tests, de-bulking fabric, and infusion. General sanding and finish work using sandpaper. Identifies and obtains equipment, tools and materials needed to properly perform job function. Follows Janicki Industries Rules and Safety Practices and keep work areas clean and organized. Follows 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap standards and practices throughout all work performed. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly, FOD free condition. Packages and crates parts for shipment, including shrink wrapping. Has knowledge of and ability to use common hand tools for assembly components per verbal, written, and drawing requirements. Willingness to work with computer software and learn Metrology, NDI, or other technical Skills 

QUALIFICATIONS

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

Wage range for this role is between $16 - $20 an hour. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role.
