Own your opportunity at GDIT and you’ll be a meaningful part of improving how agencies operate.  Our work depends on a Zero Trust Engineer joining our team to support the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) program in Falls Church, VA.

This is an IT Service Management contract in support of GENM-O’s mission is to enable information dominance from the tactical edge to the home station for the Army, DoD, National Command Authority, and international partners by acquiring, implementing, and sustaining strategic satellite and terrestrial communication systems, and by leveraging technologies to meet current and future requirements.  AGUN is to design, procure, maintain, deploy, and transition a Global SDN solution in accordance with applicable Army policies and regulations. The AGUN-INC1 TO will provide a unified approach to ensure standardized deployments and configurations at multiple locations throughout the globe.

To be successful in this position you need to be collaborative and willing to work within a team. While you will need to be a self-starter completing tasks on your own, working together is critical in this role. You will be interfacing with the client and senior staff. Therefore, you should be articulate in your communications because your opinion matters. You will need to explain technical intricacies in a way that is easily understood.

Travel:

It is anticipated that some personnel will be required to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY) to various CONUS and OCONUS locations. Long-distance travel is anticipated to be required in support of this effort.


Zero Trust Engineer - Assess and selects hardware and software solutions that align with the Zero Trust model, including micro-segmentation tools, identity and access management systems, and security analytics platforms. Ensures chosen technologies are compatible and can be integrated effectively. A Zero Trust Engineer is essential in transforming an organization's security posture by ensuring that all components work together seamlessly to enforce the principles of Zero Trust. Aligns application integration strategies with the organization's Zero Trust security framework and principles. Develops integration plans for applications within the Zero Trust framework, considering identity and access management (IAM), network segmentation, and data protection.

Site location:

The primary place of performance where the contractor will perform the work is the contractor’s facility currently located in Falls Church, VirginiaHours and days TBD upon hire. Three (3) days onsite with up to two (2) days telework. Onboarding/transition in period requires on-site support up to 60 days. AGUN work schedules are subject to change on direction by mission requirements from GDIT or USG leadership.
