The Head of Quality ANJ is responsible for developing and executing quality and food safety strategy for the ANJ region, in line with corporate strategy and values. This is critical role leading end to end Food safety and Quality team focused on achieving successful financial and operational results through driving agility, technology, continuous improvement focusing on modernization and achieving of established goals and objectives.
This position interacts cross-functionally with leaders of the various Kraft Heinz Business Units, as well as Corporate Business Partners and Functional Experts driving collaborative approach to the business and operations. This individual is also external-facing and responsible for building relationships with governmental bodies and other industry-leaders to ensure best-in-class programs and forward looking, preventive approach to Food Safety and Quality.
The Head of FSQ, ANJ is leading the process of FSQ transformation including the team, as well as processes and systems to build unmatched, modern and proactive resulting in revolutionary solutions and its application to day-to-day work in Quality field that adds value to the entire organization.
This is critical to the organization role reporting in matrix organization to Chief Quality officer and Head of the Supply Chain for the region.
Core Responsibilities
Provides overall leadership for the company Quality and Food Safety standards throughout the BU. Leads and directs the BU Quality functions, to obtain optimum productivity, while reaching strategic goals. Collaborate with R&D, Commercial, and Operations colleagues across multiple BUs and Regions to maximize on-going quality standards. Drives transformation and strategy execution to achieve business results and modernize FSQ in the zone starting from the team and ending with systems and processes. Develops and implements long-term improvement plans that impact the achievement of business results and incorporates forward looking and proactive approach to all aspects of Quality. Leads FSQ transformation through digitalization and implementation of modern technology. Oversight of the Quality Operations team who manages the daily operational systems and programs. Oversight of the Quality Excellence team who manages network-wide programs, including Microbiology and Food Safety, Copacker and Supplier Audit, Corporate and Manufacturing Sanitation, and Quality Systems and Internal Audit. Oversight of the Quality Innovation team who supports Regulatory Label Compliance and New Product Development programs. Ensures integration of FSQ function with operations and business on all applicable level Drives global standards and influences strategies to Global FSQ teams. Collaborate with Global FSQ leadership members and committees, contributing to global policy review and quality systems review, decision making and development. Provides technical direction, leadership, and conflict resolution at the BU and KHC enterprise-wide levels. Oversees technical and professional development of the zone Quality functions. Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations.Qualifications
BS in Food Science, Nutrition, Engineering, or related field required. Master’s degree in Food Science, or other relevant technical field preferred. 15+ years’ relevant experience with exposure to food science/engineering, food safety, nutrition/labeling, or product development required. Experience in digitalization and modern technology in Quality field including use of AI and advanced analytics Hands on Experience in Six Sigma, SPC and Engineering statistics Strong leadership, managerial, communication, organizational and presentation skills Proven track record of building and transforming teams Excellent interpersonal and communication skills which facilitates the ability to negotiate and influence business partners when dealing with highly complex situations Capable of driving change transformation and strategy execution to achieve specific business resultsArea(s) of Expertise
